PARTNERSHIP AND COMMITMENT CEREMONIES
Partnership and Commitment Ceremonies are similar to a wedding ceremony, as it is a ceremony between two committed people who wish to express their feelings formally for each other. The difference between a wedding is that Partnership and Commitment Ceremonies are not legally recognised and the celebrant does not have to say the legally required wording. So, this means that your ceremony can include whatever wording you would like.
You may be a couple who would like to make a commitment to each other and celebrate the love you share, or maybe for legal or other personal reasons, it isn't possible for you to enter into marriage, or maybe you are a couple of the same sex, who would like to make a commitment to each other and celebrate the love you share with family and friends.
Whatever the reason, I am happy to guide you through the process of creating a ceremony that reflects the feelings and love you have for each other, and confirms the commitment you would like to make to each other. I will provide you with ideas and material to help you create your ceremony, I will help you write your vows to each other if you like, or maybe you just want to create your own ceremony that is uniquely yours. I am happy to give you as much or as little help as you feel you need.
Your ceremony can include vows to each other, poetry, readings, symbolic rituals, music, really the possibilities are almost endless. You may like to include family and friends, or children from your partnership in your ceremony. The choice is yours.
